I have a collection of Archie comics that has been passed down to me
that I am looking to sell. I would like to find out how to get them
appraised and sold. Please advise me of a reputable dealer in NYC.
Thank you.
Sindy Balcourt
Hi Sindy,
My sincere apologies for not getting back with you sooner, but
we've had computer problems. Plus, I don't live in New York City,
and have had to do some investigating for you.
I live in Houston, and Archies here are a dime a dozen. However, in
NYC, there appears to be a cult market for them, so you may be in
luck. You might try having your comics appraised at Roger's Time
Machine or Midtown Comics.
Thanks for Writing, and Sorry Again,

Subject: Advice on magazines / LOOK AND READ / 1950'S & 1960's
We have many volumes of Look and Read magazines from late 1950's and
early 1960's, all in Look and Read hard backed bound covers. All in
excellent condition. Can you recommend to us what we should do with
them? Are they worth keeping and have they got any value now? We
live in Birmingham is there anywhere we could take them. Many thanks
for any information.
Chris and Kaye Keigwin
Hi Chris and Kaye!
I apologize for my lateness in responding to your email, but we
have had computer troubles. I know there are lots of magazine
collectors out there and I have seen Look Magazines for sale at
nostalgia type conventions. You might do a search on ebay for
your particular magazines and see if anyone has them for auction.
Another site that I have found in my netsurfing that may be helpful
to you is:
These folks list every flea market, swap meet, collectibles show
they can discover in all 50 states. You may find something close to
you to go to investigate or to sell your magazines at.
Hope this Helps You!

Hi guys ----
Maybe you may be able to help me.
I have collections of die cast cars and I'm looking for clear boxes
into which I can place and display them. The smaller ones are hot
wheel size, approx. 3 1/2" long, 1 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" high. I also
am looking for some that are 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 2 1/4". Any ideas?
thanks.
Hi!
I have stumbled across display cases in my net searches. You will
find what you are looking for at this site:
about 12 years ago i bought DRAKES cup cakes in a supermarket that had
miniature comic books inside the box(marvel--hulk--x men, etc.)where
can i found out the value of these comic books? please advise.
thank you.
tony
Hi Tony!
Those comics of yours are called giveaways, and some of them are
listed in comics price guides. However, yours are not listed in the
Overstreet Price Guide that I own. These giveaways do sell on
ebay, depending on what hero is featured and how rare they are. I
had a friend of mine sell his entire run of Marvel Pizza Hut giveaway
comics on ebay and I think he made somewhere between 12 and
15 bucks on them. Not bad for comics he got for free.
My personal suggestion to you is to hold on to them for awhile
longer. These comics, due to their being given away as a
promotion, had a limited run and most folks probably threw them
away. Due to their relative rarity, their value should increase with
more time.
