Emma is the Tenth Muse, whatever that means. No, no I’m not being snide; she really has no clue. All she knows is that she went to Greece and her two friends Brett and Dawn got turned to stone by Medusa and now she’s chasing a Minotaur whose real name is Grayson Bishop. While following the Minotaur, she ends up in Tellos, a world from now defunct Gorilla comics.

Overall, the story is very well done and quite entertaining. The art is very cute and goes along with the story well. I think I’d have understood it and liked it a little more if I’d read the previous issues, but it does a pretty good job of bringing you up to speed. The main character strikes me as a little whiny and has an obnoxious "screw everyone with the answers" attitude. While I’ll concede that your "mother" seeing vague portents in the clouds can be annoying, it might do you some good to listen to her when she says don’t enter X portal or you’ll kill both your and my world.

The Tenth Muse Poster and original art from the front and back covers have been auctioned off and donated to the Red Cross Organization by Oni Press. The back cover art is also on a tribute t-shirt available at http://www.tidalwavestudios.com/store/index.html. Additionally, the front cover is a poster there if you look at the link.

It’s a cute story; however, the naked woman on the front of issue two still baffles me. Can we say obvious attempt to draw male attention? I knew we could. However, you shouldn’t let that over shadow the well-written story and the cute art of number 6.
