Amelia Rules! is another one of those comics that I’m reviewing because it was free at Comic Con. Let’s all give a cheer for free comics! Let’s all give a cheer for the fact that I’m almost out of stuff from Comic Con that I have to review!

OK, I digress. Amelia Rules! is a nice comic for kids. It deals fairly well with issues kids might face, like annoying "friends" and messy divorces of one’s parents. In many ways, this comic reads like a Saturday morning cartoon. It’s divided into 3 somewhat connected stories about Amelia (a young girl who lives with her mother and aunt after her parents divorced) and her friends Reggie, Pajamaboy, and Rhonda. The art is cartoonish, but consistent. The characters are like typical kids, the humor is also meant to appeal to children. Probably a very good comic for kids in the 8- 10 range, though I am not much of a judge on the subject. I suppose I could have given it to my friend’s kids and see how they liked it.

Amelia Rules! is printed on nice shiny paper in gentle cartoon colors. The most offensive thing in it is the whole "sneezebarf" incident, of which I am too old to talk about. I’ll let your kids tell you about it.
