PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
Despite being an avid Walt Disney World fan, after
that whole Country
Bears fiasco, I had some reservations about this
movie. Sure Johnny Depp was going to be in it, and he
rarely steers me wrong. Sure it had
swashbuckling pirates, not to mention UNDEAD pirates.
But it was still a movie based on a ride.
Pirates of the Caribbean, however, is one of the best
movies I've seen all year. I hate to use the term, but I would venture
that it's an instant classic. Johnny Depp puts on an amazing
performance as the shaky Captain Jack Sparrow and
literally steals the show. People who know the Disney
World ride well will catch a few tributes to it in the
movie, but not to fear, those who've not been on the
ride will not feel left out. They're truly casually
stuck in there and no one would know any different.
All in all, it's just a great epic film that doesn't
take itself TOO seriously, has lots of laughs, lots of
action, and a whole lot of swashbuckling.
Now I just hope that something similar can be said
about the Haunted Mansion movie coming this November!
SPY KIDS 3D
Okay, so itÂ’s hard to turn down the 3D Movie. Even
though the previews scared me, and Stallone was in a kids movie.
I figured, "you know, the other two were pretty
entertaining!". Now I won't go as far as to say this
movie was as bad as Sphere ( The all time worst movie
I've ever seen! ), it did have its moments, but it
really fell short of what the other two had to offer.
