WHAT I CARE TO SEE
By Stephane Morrell

THE HAUNTED MANSION

Being a Walt Disney World fan, I was eager to see this movie. Granted, it looked silly, but when you think about it, that's kind of the spirit of the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World in the first place. The movie is an all around, run of the mill, re-finding of family values story, but it does it through an interesting drive through the ride known as the Haunted Mansion.

For those more familiar with the Haunted Mansion ride, the movie will be a little more fun. Being able to point out stuff you recognize from the ride, sort of turn it into a Where's Waldo? movie for the initiated. People who do not know the ride, may find it sort of bland with a few laughs here and there along the way. There's also the fact that they've re-shuffled the previous "Story" told for 30 years now by the castmembers at Walt Disney World. So now they're all liars. (i.e. Master Gracey's wife is not killed by the fortune teller in the movie).

Finally, if you have kids, they'll LOVE the movie. So take them.
