Big Epsilon is the biggest big town there is. And it apparently has a huge share of crime and psuedo-superheroes. The books seem okay. The pacing is well done and the sense of humor fun, if a little punny.

The first two books are about a guy named The Spot. You have one whole book that builds up to meeting him. In issue number 4, giant robotic eggs attack Big Epsilon. The military is losing against them horribly. The bad egg puns abound. And you're introduced to our hero, The Spot, in his civies. By the end of the issue, The Spot is in his superhero get up and running to the rescue.

Next issue you get to see what his "superpower" is, and it's CHEESY . . . quite literally. He sprays essentially cheese whiz with great skill and accuracy. He totally beats and scrambles the bad robotic eggs.

Issue number 6 is the first part of what I assume is a two part story arc about an elite team of Big Epsilon, police officers called The Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers consist of: a super smart chick, a mysterious dude, a guy that can change himself into molecules, a super effective android, and the big leader guy, who likes pizza for what it's worth. They're super spiffy and they're in charge of taking on this new wave of crime that's broken out in the city. At the end of the book they get to the scene of a huge jewel heist only to discover the thieves are gone with the jewels.

Overall, this isn't a bad book. The writing is quirky. The art is cute and it's getting better. Issue six with Michael Duron inking his own work and Laura Duron doing the grayscales is far superior art to the prior two books. If you're interested in checking it out, go to www.kriskidd.com.
