Tracks:
1. Phat, Phat, Phat the Champagne Cat
2. I'm a Man Baby, Yes I Am

When my mom drove up for AggieCon, she handed me this CD and told me to review it. Overall, the music itself on these two tracks is decent. The singer has a very good voice, and the people playing the music are very capable musicians. However, for me the lyrics and the composition were a bit of a turn off. The whole second song is about trying to convince a skeptical woman that you are the man. There's nothing wrong with this conceptually; however, the fact that it's just the same assertion over and over again with nothing to back it up is a bit of a bore. The fact that the woman actually falls for it in the end is also kind of insulting as an intelligent woman.

The music itself is very entertaining. I love eighties music and this is very reminiscent of eighties music. It has synthesizers and a drum machine. The entire compositions screams 1980's new wave. It's definitely worth listening to and making a decision for yourself. Go check out their website: http://www.champagnecat.com
