When my mom drove up for AggieCon, she handed me this
CD and told me to review it. Overall, the music
itself on these two tracks is decent. The singer has a
very good voice, and the people playing the music are
very capable musicians. However, for me the lyrics
and the composition were a bit of a turn off. The
whole second song is about trying to convince a
skeptical woman that you are the man. There's nothing
wrong with this conceptually; however, the fact that
it's just the same assertion over and over again with
nothing to back it up is a bit of a bore. The fact
that the woman actually falls for it in the end is
also kind of insulting as an intelligent woman.
The music itself is very entertaining. I love
eighties music and this is very reminiscent of
eighties music. It has synthesizers and a drum
machine. The entire compositions screams 1980's new
wave. It's definitely worth listening to and making a
