Not Quite Normal #1
Published by Lunar Comics
Script, pencils, inks: Ruben Deluna
Colors: Seth Freeman

Imagine there are beings among us who can't be killed. Now, imagine that you've just done the unthinkable and killed one such being. That's exactly what Mason has done. He's killed an Abnormal, and now the Abnormals are after him. If he can kill one of them, he can surely kill more of them and they must eliminate this threat. Mason's only hope of salvation lies in a mysterious man named Midas, who Mason's not sure he can trust. Midas seems just as interested as the Abnormals in how he manages to do the unthinkable.

The story is great and the twists are intriguing. It's a wonderful start to a three piece miniseries. The art shows influence from Deluna's daily newspaper comic Fish, but is much more highly rendered and more sophisticated. This is probably due to the fact that it is a different medium. The coloring in the book is also impressive. It is clear that this comic was printed off on a laser jet, but it's so high quality for a small press comic that it doesn't detract from the comic any. I'd recommend picking it up for a good read. Go to http://www.lunar-comics.com/ to check it out.
