WHAT I CARE TO SEE

THE RING TWO

Some might say that I'm easy on movies. Some might say that if its horror, I rarely have a bad thing to say. And maybe they're right. But my friends, let me give you a word of warning. Steer clear of The Ring Two.

I read a lot of reviews, against my better judgement. I find that their opinions rarely match up with my own, especially when it comes to horror. Critics rarely have a kind word for horror flicks. But this time, I have to say I agree with the pack.

The movie opens up somewhat promising for those of you who liked the original ( and by original, I mean the original American version, not Ringu ). The same sort of dark blue style filming, that same creepy kid and a little incident of that evil videotape causing a ruckus again. But it quickly deteriorates into an unorganized, even silly story about Samara ( The dead girl from the Ring ) wanting a mommy. It's my impression that the story was supposed to be sad and tragic, but really just comes off as annoying. It also doesn't help that it lasts two very long hours.
