Story and Art by Jonnie Allan

Stykman is the comical story of a mediocre at best hero with an ego the size of a whale. Reality, and the way Stykman interprets it, is rarely the same. This makes for a deeply humorous story and a unique method of story telling.

The art is decent: however, it is best on the people and things that do not look like actual humans. One thing that was very surprising to me because I just somehow missed it, is that Stykman is actually a composite of various sticks. The bad guy Jolly Roger is beautifully drawn every time you see him. The human beings' faces could use some work, though. They all come out looking slightly squished rather than being a two dimensional representation of a three dimensional object.

That aside, the humor is well done and everything in the book is fairly consistent all the way through. I'd recommend picking it up for a good chuckle. You can see a sample of it yourselves at http://www.akacomics.com
