My opinion on things my not be my editor's cup of tea, but I'm going to spout off because I feel that I have something to say. If you disagree, then there's the door.
For those of you still here, congratulations, you just passed the first test to becoming less of an asshat on the internet.
First, the whole Rosie O'Donnell versus Donald Trump thing; Rosie, you are picking on a man who has about as large of an ego as a living human can have. Give it up. Donald, she's a big mouthed woman, who gets more television time than you each week, and always think's she's right, even when she's not. Give it up. The only winners in this whole situation are the viewers and comedy writers for the shows Best Week Ever, The Soup, The Late Show With David Letterman, and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno
Second, what is it with superstars that feel they must be the final say on matters of mental and physical health? There's Tom Cruse and his "Psychiatry is bad because my 'religion' says so," stance. There's Rosie O'Donnell, who on the show she co-hosts, seems to be an expert on Autism because she does some research on the internet, and feels she needs to sit in on every segment of the January 29th episode of The View when they were talking about Autism. The woman has adopted at least two perfectly healthy children, and feels that she must be a know it all on something that does not effect her life at all.
Third, there's the asshats on every message board who feel they must make snide remarks about other poster's posts. This has happened to me recently when I posted a rant on the right board of this one website. I had spoken my mind about something I felt was an injustice, and a poster felt the need to make a snide remark about something I said and some were even down right insulting. I'm not going back to that website anymore and I'm not going to recommend that site to anyone because of this. It's a pretty popular web site in Role Playing Game circles so I've had to go elsewhere to get my RPG information. My only piece of advice about this is "Don't be an Asshat!"
Here are two links that I found just by surfing the Internet. I think some people would find them entertaining.
The first one, http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2007-01-25-aqua-teen-movie_x.htm, is an article on the USA Today web site about the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie that is due out in Mid-March. I wish I could find a site with the trailer that was released to the internet last week (as of this writing), but every link I've found is dead. If you have not heard of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, then you are either, outside their target demographic, or do not watch Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block of shows. ATHF is a short television show, about 11 minutes long, which airs 5 days a week on Cartoon Network late at night. The show revolves around the misadventures of a living milk shake (Master Shake), a living floating box of french fries (Frylark), and a living meat ball (Meatwad), and their neighbor Carl. It has had five (or six) seasons of shows that have been put out on DVD so you can put it on your Netflix or Blockbuster accounts to have them mailed to you before you go see the movie. You will laugh at the show so hard if you enjoy "stupid" humor.
The second one, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5442182124751353607&q=genre%3Aanimation&hl=en, is a link I found on Google Video Search in their Animation section even though it is not animation. It's a 21 minute and a few second video of a college student playing a pipe organ (like you find in a church) and he plays the various themes and level music from video games. It's a cool on so many levels.
The last days of January and the first few day of February are tough times at NASA. There's the loss of the Challenger Shuttle at launch and its crew of 7 astronauts on January 28, 1986, the fire in the capsule of Apollo 1 on January 27, 1967 and the loss of 3 astronauts, and the loss of shuttle Columbia on re-entry on February 1, 2003. I'm asking the US government to keep the funding of NASA as high as possible so we can return to the moon and continue on so we can explore Mars. As bad as the tragedies of those missions were, the crews of those missions would want us to continue to explore outer space because we have every chance to.
That's all I have for now. If you disagree with me or just want to see more e-mail me at the address above, just remove the nospam between the hotmail and .com.
