WHAT I CARE TO SEE

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE

The story continues in this sixth movie based on the novel by the same name. Likewise, the theme continues to grow darker still. At this stage in the game, the kids ( kids? ) have become so accustomed to each other, that the chemistry that the characters in the book have is clearly reflected with how comfortable they are with each other. They really act like they're close friends.

All that aside, for the most part they've managed to capture the essence of the book and create a compelling dark story, but still have time for a few laughs at their characters expense. There is a little negative, but only from the standpoint of someone who has read the book and is more about what was "cut" as in previous films. In the book there is a lot more emphasis placed on the textbook Harry finds. This focus takes a lot away from the building suspense as to who exactly "The Half Blood Prince" is so that when you find out in the film, it's sort of matter of fact.

Aside from that, proper pause was given for the big surprise in the movie and it definitely left fans eager for the next one ( which has been announced as being split in two ). Definitely one of the better Potter films for those who like them.

-Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
