The Great Comics Conspiracy

By Jesse N. Willey

It is taken almost as dogma to comics fans that in 1954, John L. Goldwater and The Harvey Family conspired to form the Comics Code Authority in order to sieze control of the comic book market in light of the charges made in Seduction of the Innocent by Frederic Wertham. Did you know of the even greater conspiracy? It's the hidden message of Archie comics. People have known for years about the overtly religious licensed-out Archie series sold to born again Christians. This is something far more sinister.

It hinges on this - the images on Jughead's crown. A crown should be worn by a king. What is Jughead a king of exactly? The clues are right in the symbols on the crown. They move often depending on the artist but it is most commonly a circle on top of or inside the triangle. Which bears an odd resemblance to the back of a dollar bill. That's right - the eye in the pyramid. This marks Jughead as a member of the Bavarian Illuminati. Why does he have the crown? Obviously it must represent something of import to the Illuminati or one of their co-opted groups. The Priory of Zion had strange religious fervor about protecting the Merovingian dynasty of France who they believed to be the descendants of Christ. What is written Jughead's T-Shirt? A giant letter 'S' as in savior. Jughead Jones is the heir to the Merovingian throne and the grand master of an organization founded by Adam Weishaupt on May 1st, 1776.

That's not the only evidence. Ever notice that when common man Archie Andrews goes to Veronica's house her father sends him away as fast as he can, yet when Jughead shows up the butler is ordered to make as many cheeseburgers as possible? Veronica's family name is Lodge. That combined with the fact that her father is Wall Street banker should be another hint. Mister Lodge is just what his name implies - a member of the Freemasons. Since the Goldman Sachs problems haven't seemed to cause any problems in Archie's home town yet, you have to suspect something is rotten in the city of Riverdale. This might also explain why any plan of Veronica's that require heavy lifting and very little brains involves Moose. That's right - Moose Mason.
