Phoenix Comics is a wonderful comic and gaming store. It truly has a great variety of comics, comic T-shirts, board games, murder mystery games, role playing games, graphic novels, and back issues. That’s not including the nice staff they have at Phoenix.

Phoenix also has a gaming room which is open for people, who want to play Magic or other games of a similar sort. Magic games are held weekly on Thursday and Friday. They are held at 5 pm on Thursday and 7 pm on Friday.

Phoenix has a truly original mixture of comics and comic merchandise. They have a large shelf for new arrivals. Phoenix’s selection of back issues is extensive and has a lot of obscure things. They even have a back issues of magazines like Manga Vision and Riot. Their trade paperback and graphic novel shelf is HUGE and filled with all sorts of good stuff from the DC Archive Series, Love and Rocket trade paperbacks, the Marvel Essential books, to things like Art Speigelman’s "Maus."

Phoenix has one thing that you generally do not see much of at comic shops and that’s dice. Display cases and display cases of dice along with the Big Box O Dice.

Of course Phoenix does have more common collectibles like sculptures and bookends. These include things like Sandman, Batman and Robin, Catwoman, and Superman. Comic posters are available at Phoenix, too. The comic posters are gorgeous and decently priced. The comic T-shirts are great, and so is their selection. There were t-shirts of Astro City, Wolverine, Spiderman, Superman, Strangers in Paradise, and Jay and Silent Bob, just to name a few. Not to mention the normal action figures they have which includes Kiss, Xena, etc.

Their selection of games is very diverse. Of course, they have Magic Cards, but they have so much more. They have a whole rack of TSR role playing games, and bookshelves of gaming books. They have How to Host a Murder kits, which I have yet to see anywhere else. They also have many other role playing games. They also have a fine collection TSR books.

Something else I’d never seen before, so I’m not quite sure on the terminology, was comics and Magic cards, which had what appeared to be pop-ups on the cover. They truly are awe inspiring. Phoenix is a very impressive comic shop, which I would highly recommend you go visit. It have unique merchandise and is definitely not your ordinary comic shop.
