Welcome to the Collector Times Online
Welcome to the first edition of The Collector Times Online. The Collector Times was a comics and collectors magazine published and produced in Houston, Texas. It was founded by DJ Jennings, a local con promoter, and has been a print magazine for the last two years. Our printer, Ken Donnell, has decided to retire and we thank him for the many hours he has spent in getting this magazine out. We thank Joe Pumilia for his layout work in the print version. To make a long story short, DJ has sold The Collector Times to me, Sheryl Roberts, a long time writer for the magazine. My on-line version is going to be coordinated with our new print version, produced and owned by Alan Denny. I am now the fearless editor and owner of the on-line version. My goal for the Collector Times Online is to continue the tradition of excellence started by DJ in the print version. One of the nice things about doing a magazine on-line, is that I can include pictures and artwork without worrying about the cost. Youll notice some fine fan art in this edition done by up and coming Texas artists. Youll also notice this first issue contains a lot of comics articles. I hope to have more articles from different areas of collecting in the next on-line edition. As is usual with The Collector Times, your input is always welcome. You want to write an article, feel free. You want to write a letter of comment, go right ahead. You do fan art, send me some. You just want to surf the website, thats fine, too. This magazine is for you, the fans of all types of collectibles. I expect to have a new issue up on this website on the first of each month, so please come back and visit us. Meanwhile, welcome to our little corner of cyberspace. Sheryl Roberts, ed.
