What a month we have ahead of us! In case you have been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you will have heard about the new Warhammer 40K edition to hit the shelves in the week of the 5th. This edition has drastic rules changes, new methods of resolving combat, new psychic and wargear rules, and a whole load of new minis! And remember, at Games Nation, it is always 25% off the regular retail price for Games Workshop games. (Hey, the plug had to be here somewhere, didn't it?)

Again, for you rock-dwellers, Clan War from AEG has hit the shelves running. 58 metal minis for the price of an unnamed competitor's core games, plus all the rules and dice needed to play. If you are a fan of the L5R RPG or the CCG, check this hot item out!

GURPS Traveller is next in the line of big news, with softcover versions on the shelves, and a big HC release in a few months, this should breathe some new life into the Imperium Games line. Following the success of GURPS Discworld, SJG is going into overtime on this line. Check this space in the future for more tidbits from the guys in Texas.

White Wolf has finally released the Vampire 3rd edition to the fans. This edition is available in two versions, the regular version at 29.95, and the deluxe, slipcase version at 69.95. Plug Time: If you are a VLARP player who is a member of the Camarilla, just bring your card in our store for 15% off either of these items. Hurry! The special editions are almost gone as I write this.

For all of you Silent Death flyboys (and gals), Rules of Warfare II just came in the store, and has all of the new tournament fleet construction rules required in all official tourneys. Yes, now you can send your favorite ships from Yoka-Shan and Sigurd against the forces of the Core Box Set.

Speaking of space games, a little gem has made a new appearance on the shelves. It is the new Fleet book from Full Thrust. Full of illustrations and ship data, this is a fantastic resource for all sci-fi fans.

WOTC had been quiet this month, with news of Urza's Saga around the corner, it can afford to be. Not so with FIV, which released the 4th expansion for the Hidden Emperor recently, and a new Unicorn stronghold to boot. The quest is heating up. Which faction do you support?

Now I would like to take a moment to speak to our fans and readers about the hobby of gaming. This is a bit of a diversion from the usual news and gossip, but I feel that it has a place here.

Many of you out there have been talking recently about the lack of gamers available for playing various games. I personally have seen this coming, but with everyone's schedule's busy, who has time to game?

Therefore, I would like to remind all of our readers that at Games Nation, we have a wall in the back devoted to posting your needs and desires for gamer contacts. Also, you will see a list of people of like mind who have already posted notes with us.

Currently, there are adverts for a 40K RPG, a Shockforce demo session, an AD&D game, a person looking for HERO players, and a player of Star Fleet Battles.

If you are looking for a wargame, historical recreation, RPG or CCG, drop on by, because there are a lot of gamers in the Clear Lake and Galveston region who are looking for players.

Final Blatant Plug: If you enjoy RPGs, CCGs, or any other kind of gaming, check out the comic book Knights of the Dinner Table. This book is all about us, gamers, and our exploits at the game table. If you don't see it, ask.
