The Silver Scream by Andrea Spencer

AUSTIN POWERS : THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME

I don't remember particularly enjoying the original Austin Powers movie and seeing the new one was definitely not on my list of high priorities.

So I saw the trailor for the new South Park movie. I know that I am making the same mistake as I did when Beavis and Butthead did America, but I really want to see it. Even if just for the animated Saddam Hussein, I want to see it.

"Is sex all you care about?"

"I love you"

Of all of the people to put in the new Adam Sandler, they had to put the one that annoys me the most. You know, the blond one with the funny voice who was in that one movie.. grr she just grates my nerves. That movie looks about as funny as The Waterboy, which was almost as funny as the time I stepped in poo with my new shoes.

And oh my god. Wild Wild West? Am I the only one of my generation who used to watch the re-runs of that show on television? WHERE IS THE MIDGET?? Dammit, that movie is going to suck.

So, speaking of midgets, one of the most popular characters from AP:TSWSM was, of course, MINI ME. Now I'm not sure if he's an actual "midget", but he's pretty short. He did bring alot of the comic relief to the movie, which would have sucked without him.

I saw him on one of those late late shows. We were watching him come out across the stage when my boyfriend blurted out, "Do you think he had surgery to get that small?" And folks, I'm not sure he was joking.

Fat bastard. Was I the only one who wanted a slim fast and a handful of diet pills after seeing that man naked? He was also a big (pun intended) part of what made the movie as funny as it was, and he was dead secksay.

Heather Graham looked very good in those knit dresses. Yes, I'm jealous.

The movie made no real attempts to cover up the thin plot which consisted of gratuitous advertising and raunchy sex.

Not that I'm complaining.

I was amused. I saw it twice, loved it, laughed alot. It was tactless and contrived and self-serving, but at least it didn't try to hide it.
