This story introduces a new character to the Complex City cast. His name is Crazy Quilt. He is a mix of Batman and of Shadowhawk. Unlike other comics though, Jeff doesn't do first person introduction of the character. Everything revolves around other people that met him or want to. We get a lot of Bulldog Malone in this issue, continuing off the story from the first two issues. Some stuff I didn't think that would get revealed did, which was nice. We also get introduced to new characters in here as well. I generally liked how Jeff made a Crazy Quilt researcher, he didn't follow the typical stereotypes. All in all, a fun comic to read.

Jeff gives us a few "Wow!" shots this issue. In particular are two double page splashes featuring close ups. Wide screen comics have been a buzz since Dillion started doing them in Preacher. You don't get much more wide screen than this, unless you print it on larger paper. Jeff also packs a good enough sized story in here as well, using some 9 panel grids to move the story along. He also does a two page text bit, similar to what Terry Moore does in Strangers in Paradise from time to time. Anyhow, this is an all around enjoyable comic. Too this is the last issue Diamond will distribute. If you want to get the next one tell your retailer to order it from Cold Cut. There is also a chance that the whole series will be put out in a Trade Paper Format. I hope that's the case as it's the format to publish in now and days.
