Welcome to the May Edition of The Collector Times!
I want you to look at this. My daughter Sidra picked this up for me at the Barnes
and Noble in Prague, the Czech Republic. Yes, that's a Batman Comic in Czech, but
look at the back cover. Yes indeedy, that's an advertisement for Penthouse! You don't
see that on the back cover of an U.S. comic. I found that hilarious.
Speaking of funny, we do have some really amusing articles for you this month. Be sure
to read AJ Reardon's World Building column. You also must read
Jason Bourgeois's rant about the blatant sexual content of Marvel Comics in
Great X-pectations. It comes with pictures, folks!
Jamie Coville returns to Coville's Clubhouse with an interview
with Finder creator Carla Speed McNeil. I don't know if you are aware of this or not,
but The Collector Times hosts
Jamie's Comic History site. I am providing a permanent link under comics in case you'd
like to see what Jamie's main comic passion is. It's a great site! I went to the first
meeting of the new Houston Comic Collector's Association and wrote a report.
Joe Singleton revamps Mr. Sinister this month in Artistic License.
We have a whole lot more folks, so relax, welcome and take a look around.
Also, would you nice readers PLEASE send Zack Roman, the writer of Con-soltations
an email? Here's a nice handy link. Tell him he's
doing a good job, tell him he sucks, tell him something! Thank you!
As always, we are glad you are here!
