X2 - X-MEN UNITED
What a ride this movie was. For someone who was always a fan of
the X-Men characters, but oddly enough, hada hard time keeping
on the comics, I loved this film. It was masterfully written, very
engaging and there were lots of mutants with lots of displays of
power. What more could a fanboy geek want?! Although both
movies to date have re-written much of the character bios and
origins, they've kept pretty close to the spirit of the series and of
the characters. And despite the rewrites, you see more than one
story arc from the original X-Men comics starting to bud (Can
anyone say Phoenix?) Magneto's use of metal was pure genius, as
was Ian McKellans performance as said character. As well as
everyone else in the cast. All in all, I can't wait to see what/who
they come up with for X3!
