Welcome to the February Edition of The Collector Times!
Ok, so it's Valentine's Day month, and everyone's thoughts turn to love . . .
except mine, obviously. I must share a comic cover from deep in my comic boxes. Featuring guns.
Gunmaster and Bullet the Gun Boy! How wholesome is that, people? Dr. Wertham was worried about
Batman and Robin when we had this one on the stands? Uh huh, uh huh. It amuses me, and
hopefully it amuses you, too.
This month I want to welcome new writer Christopher Coleman. With this issue, The Collector
Times truly goes global, in that Chris is an entire hemisphere away from us in Australia.
Chris is taking over the reins of Console-tations, and I am sure
you'll enjoy what he has to say and to report about console games. Chris had a lot to say
this month, and you can read his review of Deadwood and his review
of Lord of War, too. I think Chris is an excellent addition to our
collection of writers. Welcome aboard, Chris!
Also, you can get two opposing views on the new Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe right
here in one place! Jason Bourgeois loves it, and Wally Flores Jr.
hates it. Only in my magazine. We joke the two of them share a
brain as it is. This month proves it.
In addition, Jamie Coville interviews another comics artist who was screwed out of movie
proceeds. I think you'll find the interview with Sandy Carruthers,
artist on Men in Black interesting.
Plus, lots more. Take some time and look around. We are always glad that you are here!
