SILENT HILL
What can be said about Video Game based movies that hasn't been
said already. Well a lot of that wouldn't apply to Silent Hill. Granted
much of the bizarre plot might feel more at home to someone who has
played the games. But the reality of it is that the games plot is just
as weird.
The story is about a little girl who keeps having sleepwalking
dreams of a place called Silent Hill. Her parents look it up and the
mother decides to take her there. But on the way, they get into a car
crash, and find themselves in a largely unihabited town. But it's not
completely uninhabited. There are weird creatures about, and the whole
town seems almost "otherwordly".
I found this very entertaining, and with lots of creep-out
effects. What's a great thing to note is that most of the "monsters" are
not CGI but actually people in latex. You'll see why that's freaky when
you see the movie.
