Welcome to the May Edition of the Collector Times!

We have lots of great stuff for you this month, including a new chapter of our round robin story The League of Explorers, courtesy of Mat Bredfeldt. Plus, Wally Flores is excited about the new Wolverine movie, but not for the reasons that you'd expect. Go read Graphic Content and find out why. Joe Singleton decided to rework Hanna Barbera's Galaxy Trio in Artistic License. You can see the results up there on our front page. Plus, Rick Higginson discusses the movie Watchman, and why he thinks it tanked after its strong opening. Plus, we have much, much more.

I am going off topic and because I am the editor I can do that!

A lot of media attention has been going into the swine flu as I write this. I'm really getting ticked at this "the sky is falling, the sky is falling" mentality by the media. As a registered nurse, I need to reassure you that this is a FLU. More importantly, this is a flu with which 2 antivirals work. The only difference is that this is a flu that people don't have resistance for, so more people are going to get sick. If you get sick, you stay home, you call your doctor and you go in and get your antiviral prescription. Simple. How do you cut your risk of getting the flu? It's really easy. Wash your hands. Get some hand sanitizer gel and use it when you can't wash your hands. If you cough, cover your mouth. If you have symptoms of being sick, stay home. Just because the media is having a field day comparing it to the Black Death, it doesn't make it so. Besides, the US has several cases of Bubonic Plague a year, and they cure it with Tetracycline. So, dear readers, take a few simple precautions and don't live your life in fear. It's only the flu. A treatable flu.

And with that, I leave you to enjoy our magazine.
