Welcome to Collector Times.com

Welcome to the 12th Anniversary Edition of The Collector Times!

We have a very special interview for you this month! Jamie Coville interviews DJ Arneson, Silver Age Editor and Writer for Dell Comics. In this interview, Mr. Arneson gives us the final word on who created the comic character Lobo, as well as great insight on how publishing licensed properties were produced back in the 1960's. As far as we know, Mr.Arneson has not been interviewed online before, so this is all new information for those of you who love comic history, as Jamie and I do.

Oh, and AJ Arneson wrote The Great Society, one of my favorite comics of all time.

What else do we have? All sorts of great stuff this month. Jamie Coville attended Wizard World Toronto, and gives us a great con report. Wally Flores Jr. rants about Black Panther in Graphic Content, and Erich Arendall continues his cartoon The Muppet Times, this month featuring The Flash(s). Tomorrow the final chapter of The League of Explorers goes online. I need to tweak it a bit more before I publish the conclusion. I want it to be just right.

An even dozen years! Who'd have thought it? I put a local Houston, Texas collector's magazine online 12 years ago and thought that if we got maybe 200 visitors a month, I would consider it a success. That first month we got 400+ views and we were off and running. Now we get thousands of visitors monthly from a world wild audience, and we are grateful for every last one of you! Like I always say, keep coming back, you'll be glad that you did! You are the reason we are here.

I'd also like to thank my many writers and artists who have contributed freely over the years. I've had to reach for the Maalox more than once, and as Rick Higginson says, I still have most of my hair (even if it is grey) but for the most part, it's been a lot of fun. I always look forward to the crazy, brilliant stuff I get every month. I hope you do, too!

Here's hoping to many more years together!
