Welcome to the September edition of The Collector Times Online!

We returned from our Ultimate Geekdom vacation a little over a week ago. One of our merry stops along the way was Marvel Mania. Here is a wonderful photo of your humble editor and my sidekick in comicbook debauchery, Sidra, with Wolverine at Marvel Mania.

Sheryl and Sidra with Wolverine!

For an in-depth look at Marvel’s foray into the theme restaurant business, look at the comics section. You’ll also find our Comic Con International photos in the Conventions section with running commentary. Mike Solko, of Nice comics, provides us with a San Diego Con Report.

We have winners in our Magneto "What comics character do you find darkly erotic" survey/essay contest. To see the results and the prizes, click here. All I can say about it is, you folks sure are chicken : )

We have two interviews this month. In Coville’s Clubhouse, Jamie interviews the one and only Jim Shooter. Jim talks about his past, and his latest endeavors. Paul Roberts, in his column Reader’s Bookshelf, interviews Alan Dean Foster, one of the most prolific and entertaining science fiction book authors today. Paul also has his own contest going this month. Be sure to check both out.

I was moved to tears by Jason Bourgeois’s farewell to Excalibur, and I don’t even read the book! Also, Jamie Coville gives us some insight into Plastic Man. Andrea Spencer tells us why she didn’t see a movie this month, and lots more!

As always, we are glad to see you. Feel free to write us and tell us how we are doing.
