Welcome to the August Edition of The Collector Times!

We went to ComicCon International this last weekend, and with this issue, it's going to show!

That's AJ Reardon in her fairly costume. Sidra Roman was parading around Friday as the animated version of Night Girl. We all went to panels, we all bought swag, and we all had a great time putting together things to share with you! Expect lots of coverage this month, and in the months to come. We must have over 3000 photos to go through between all of us. Here's a photo of the official Collector Times dinner, which was held at Trattoria Fantastica in Little Italy. The food was really good.

Luckily, some folks submitted some content prior to this junket, so we all won't be frantically typing for our lives in the next 3 days. Well we will, but we won't have to type up everything. Jamie Coville did an interesting phone interview with Mark Waid, editor in chief of Boom Studios prior to San Diego and you can read it in Coville's Clubhouse. Mark talks about being the editor in chief of Boom, writing Spiderman comics, and some of the outcome of his offer to fund creators' lawsuits against Rick Olney. AJ Reardon gives us a nice review of Hellboy II. Joe Singleton reworks Black Canary in Artistic License this month.

The San Diego ComicCon International coverage includes an omnibus article entitled News from San Diego. As you know, we only do news when we are there in person to hear it. As there were 10 of us, we attended a whole bunch of panels, so you benefit. We are also starting the Con Photo Album this issue. There will be more, trust me.

I think you'll find a whole lot of good stuff this issue. As usual, we are glad you are here.
