Welcome to the November Edition of the Collector Times!
Our cover comes from Joe Singleton, who has drawn the character of Andrew Weinstein for us.
Who is Andrew, you ask? Well, he's a creation of Jesse Willey and the brains behind The League of Explorers.
A month ago, Jesse emailed the entire Collector Times staff with a challenge. He wanted to write a round
robin story, with us participating. I had some volunteers, so Jesse and I made some rules, and The League
of Explorers was born. You too, can volunteer for a chapter if you'd like and you can find out how in the
article Where You Put Your Money. This is an experiment that is open to everyone.
If this story goes well and you all like it, we may do further stories. This story will not be over 18
months long, and will probably be shorter. Our first chapter is up now, and has some
Character Sheets to go along with the story.
What else do we have this month? Mat Bredfeldt went to the Star Wars Expo II in Plano, Texas and wrote a
con report for us. Jason Bourgeois tells us what he's thankful for in
Grey Matters. Rick Higginson writes a nice tribute to his father and coping with
death in his column The Eclectic Exegetist. Ian Melton continues to enlighten us
about Elements of Manga. And as usual, we have much more.
Please take some time and look around, and please join us in The League of Explorers. I think you'll be
glad you did.
