Welcome to Collector Times.com

Welcome to the December Edition of The Collector Times!

Wow, I have so much for you this month, I don't even know where to begin. If you want to know what to get your favorite geeky girl or guy, we have lots of suggestions. Rick Higginson and AJ Reardon have great suggestions in their respective columns, The Eclectic Exegetist and The Giftmas Guide, the Luxury Edition. Sidra and Zack Roman return with a one shot review of Battle Bands, a perfect gift for a boy on your shopping list. Sidra also reports they make excellent cat toys, so if you are into giving gifts to your pet, well, there you go. Jesse Willey also gets into the Holiday Spirit in a couple of his articles Did I get What I Paid For? where he has suggestions for your graphic novel reading pals, and "Dear Santa" where he has suggestions about what he wants. Although his League of Explorers request scares me. Mat Bredfeldt gave me the gift of a videogame review and he likes the game and apparently it can be had cheap, so you might consider giving it to a friend or family member who plays videogames.

In case I'm getting too sappy for you, I direct your attention to Jason Bourgeois's column Grey Matters, where he talks about Amazing Spiderman. I read that and went absolutely ballistic. Go read my opinion piece to find out why.

Chanukah is early this year, starting tonight as I type this, so Happy Chanukah to all of my Jewish friends and readers. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Yule, Winter Solstice, Chanukah or nothing at all, the end of the year is a time for reflection, gratitude and celebration. May your holidays be happy, surrounded by the people you love, with the minimum of Traditional Family Fights (and those of you who have to deal with that, you know what I'm talking about).

We are grateful for our readers and as always, we are glad that you are here.
