Welcome to the November Edition of The Collector Times!
For the cover this month, I decided to share with you a piece of
art I bought at ComicCon International.
This is a beautiful penciled drawing of the Silver Age Aquaman
and Aqualad by the talented Ramona Fradon. She had some
incredible pieces of art for sale, and this is the one I selected,
mainly because Im a fan of the old Aquaman stuff. Now you
can see what I blow money on at conventions.
This month we have a lot of interesting stuff. Jamie Coville
gives us an explanation of the Miracle
Man ownership issues and current legal process from a
historical perspective. Jason Bourgeois is back this month with
his Great X-pectations column where he looks at the
new X-Men Icons miniseries. Be sure to check out Sidra
Roberts review of the Brian Talbots CD-ROM of Heart
and Empire. I saw part of the CD myself and I recommend
you take a look at it. If you are in the mood for funny, funny
stuff, check out Chris Reid's Random Thoughts this
month. He makes rolling dice into a major production. He also
makes turning things in at the last minute into a major production,
but thats another story : )
If you are in the Dallas area Thanksgiving weekend, be sure to
stop in and see us at UnCommon Con.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LATE BREAKING NEWS
UnCommon Con has been cancelled!
The folks in Dallas couldn't let the weekend go without a con, so they organized
ItzaCon 3. We'll
be guests there, instead.
We are looking forward to being there, and there are 7 of us scheduled, at last count. Come
by the Collector Times table and say, "Hello."
