Welcome to the September Edition of The Collector Times!
Man, is it September already? Where does the time go?
Our cover comes courtesy of Jamie Coville. There Jamie is, with the legendary Neal Adams
at the Toronto Comic Book Expo. Neal gave an extremely interesting talk, which Jamie taped
with the permission of Neal Adams and Maggie Thompson. You can hear it here.
One of the nice things about doing this monthly rag is that I can ask Joe Singleton to revamp who
I want to see revamped in Artistic License. I'm a major Legion of Superheroes
geek, so I asked him to redo The Wanderers for me. I hope you'll be as pleased with the results as
I am. Next month we'll announce the winner of Joe Singleton's Great Big Fat Contest right here, and
you'll get to see the winning entry! I must say we have gotten some great ideas and emails, and I
want to thank everyone for entering.
No one ever emails us to tell us that they like us
or what we are doing, so when we get a slew of entries in a contest, we are quite happy.
We are also starting to run an old comic strip of Gonzo's called Heroes Rerun
this month. You've seen a few of the strips, but you haven't seen ALL of the strips, not by a long
shot. We are going to run them all this time, so you can see the superhero madness in it's entirety.
Also, Gwynn Grandy returns this month with an anime review of Howl's Moving Castle.
There's a little something for everyone this issue.
As always, we are glad you are here!
