Welcome to Collector Times.com
Welcome to Collector Times.com

Welcome to the June edition of the Collector Times! Yeah, I know we're a little late going up, but it's due to "circumstances beyond our control." Our ISP had a fire and explosion in their electrical system, and they have worked hard to get the electricity restored. After that, they had to bring up the A/C and check the temperatures and such before bringing the whole shebang back on-line.

So to make a long story short, the EDITOR has been the one who procrastinated the most, which I find amusing. You would too, if you knew my writers. I had informed them all that they could procrastinate this month, because I was off from work the night The Collector Times was supposed to upload, so I had 4 articles by midday the day it was supposed to go online. Welcome to my world! To be fair, everyone kited things in before the official upload time . . . we just didn't have a server up that we could post it to. Perry White smoked cigars. I know why. I drink Maalox.

Let me share with you our newest artist. His name is Rene Maldonado and he works in various mediums. We're thrilled to have him with us and you'll be seeing a lot more from him in the art gallery.

What do we have for you this month? Lots of good things. Unexpected good things. Jason Bourgeois resurrected his Torture Chamber and interviewed Paul Cornell who not only wrote Dr. Who novels in the 90's, but also write for the TV show. He's also writing for Marvel now, having done the Wisdom miniseries and is writing the spinoff from that series Captain Britain & MI. There's a lot of comics reviews this month, ranging from Hot Stuff to Cable to Scream Queen. Ian Melton also continues his thought provoking series "The Elements of Manga." Ian told me that he was thinking of me as he wrote it. I'm hoping he was thinking "female" rather than the "senior citizen" in that part of that piece.

Rick Higginson wrote a beautiful tribute to fathers in The Eclectic Exegetist. So to all of the dads out there, Happy Father's Day!

And for the rest of you, we are glad you are here with us again this month! Take some time and look around. We have some really great stuff here for you!
