Welcome to the December Edition of the Collector Times!
Our cover comes from our interview subject this month, talented creator Von Allan.
I've been familiar with Von's impressive work for quite a while, and I couldn't think of a better interview
for our Holiday issue.
Speaking of Holidays, we have a lot of holiday themed stuff this month. AJ Reardon gives us her
annual gamer geek gift guide, and Jesse Willey gives us our
holiday horoscopes. Plus, there's a letter to Santa!
Wally Flores brings us back to the difficult financial situation in Graphic Content
and Rick Higginson makes an interesting collecting and political point in The Eclectic Exegetist.
Our original series The League of Explorers continues with AJ Reardon taking the
reins this month. And as a wonderful new addition, Erich Arendall is now doing
an ongoing web cartoon for us. It doesn't get much better than this!
As this is the holiday season, I would like to draw your attention to a project Paul and I assisted
with lately. As you all know, Hurricane Ike hit the upper Texas coast in September. Trust me when I
tell you that there are still a lot of people living in tents along the coast, and The Bolivar Peninsula
is the hardest hit of all. Recently, I met a Texas singer songwriter named J.D. Richards online and
one thing led to another, and he wrote a song for the people on The Bolivar Peninsula. Paul and I went
out and took some photos, I obtained permission to use others, and JD made a music video. To see JD's
finished project go here:

No matter how bleak the financial situation is for some of you, the folks of Bolivar have it much,
much worse. So remember them this holiday season, and let's be grateful for what we all have.
Happy Holidays to you and yours, from our family here at The Collector Times!
