Welcome to Collector Times.com

Welcome to the second Anniversary Issue of The Collector Times! Wow, how time flies. Our cover art this month comes from our own Joe Singleton, and I think the subject is self explanatory.

Bad Pokémon

I want to take a moment to apologize to my readers for not being prompt with my email for the last month and a half. I, and the whole Roberts clan have been busy. We had to take a trip, and a very important trip it was. Our own AJ Higginson, teen comic reviewer, got married to Chris Reardon March 18th. True to her New Years Resolution, she *did* suck up to the Editor and ask me to be an attendant at her wedding. She asked my daughter Sidra, too. So, we had things to do, people to see, and 2400 round trip miles to drive from Houston, Texas to Tucson, Arizona. We did it, too! For those that are interested, and I am sure there are a few of you out there, we took a ton of wedding photos. So you can go and see what I was doing instead of answering my email.

We have lots of wonderful things this month to commemorate our second Anniversary. The Art Gallery is crammed full of varied and exciting works. We welcome new artists Rod Jennings and Ryan Leary to the staff. I'm sure you'll want to take a minute out and look at their work. You won't be disappointed. We have two interviews this month. Jamie Coville has another chat with Roger Stern about his Marvel work and his snakes. If Jamie has a Clubhouse, Jason has a Torture Chamber, and Jason Bourgeois interviews Robert Weinberg, the new writer of Cable. Mathew Bredfeldt gives us another viewpoint on the Dig Dug vs. Mr. Do controversy and also gives us his opinions about the latest Academy Awards. Sidra Roberts also reviews Mangaphiles, in Alternate Views. The book she reviews has art in it by our own Daniel Fu, the Utter Confusion guy.

Speaking of Daniel Fu, after we got back into town from AJ's wedding, Daniel was in Houston for another wedding, and so we got to have lunch with him. I spent a very nice lunch with him, getting to look at his original artwork. Not only is he a very nice guy, but Daniel is very talented, and his brushwork is awesome. I suggest you run out and get Mangaphiles right away.

Oh, and scott goddamn crawford is descending upon the Roberts Collector Times Headquarters and Cat Ranch for 12 days in April, including Easter. God help us all.

We are glad you are here to celebrate our second anniversary issue with us. Enjoy!
