Comics are undergoing some changes, so to commemorate the big events spawning Infinite Crisis and House of M, Joe Singleton has provided this month's cover:
And if you think this picture is funny, wait till you see what Joe is cooking up for next month,
along with a few suggestions from me.
The holidays are upon up, and what would the holidays be without us recommending some stuff
for you to buy all of your geeky friends and relatives? We have a Collector Times DVD
buying guide and AJ Reardon was kind enough to make gamer gift giving suggestions in
her Playing God column.
And man, do we have Wizard World Texas coverage! We have a con report,
panel summaries, and photos galore. We discovered a very
talented webcartoonist named Zach Miller and I interviewed him. He's
an interesting guy, who enjoys what he is doing. Be sure and go over and check out his webcomic
Joe and Monkey. I know you will be glad you did.
And I don't know what's in the air, but some folks have switched around and written off topic
this month. I have Mat Bredfelt writing in the gaming section, and
Wally Flores Jr.'s column Graphic Content can be found in both the
comics and the toy section. Rick Higginson is changing his column
entirely and I have decided to resurrect Reader's Bookshelf
and write it myself. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Reader's Bookshelf is a science
fiction book review column, and I plan on getting guest reviewers every once in awhile.
All of us at the Collector Times family wish you a very Happy Holiday season, with much
love and laughter. As always, we are very glad that you are here.
