Welcome to Collector Times.com

Welcome to the September edition of The Collector Times!

As promised, we have a contest this month, and as you can see from the picture, it’s a nice prize! As usual, you just click on this picture to see a larger version.

Green Lantern

For those of you who aren’t familiar, this is a signed print by Martin Nodell, the creator of the golden age Green Lantern. It comes with it’s own backing board and protective sleeve. It’s nice, too. All my staff that have seen it in person have been slobbering over it. You can win it, the contest isn’t hard, please go here for details and how to enter.

We have lots of great stuff for you this month, in addition to our contest. We have not one, but two interviews for you. Sidra Roberts provides us with an interesting interview with Bryan Talbot, legendary British comics creator. Paul Roberts interviews comic writer and science fiction writer Ron Goulart. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Ron’s work, he writes funny science fiction, and his books are usually sprinkled with comic book references. Both gentlemen are nice fellows, as well as being talented creators, and I think you’ll enjoy the interviews a lot.

We have a new column starting this month, written by a long time friend of mine, Mike Solko. A Matter of Tradition focuses on traditions in comics, and I think it’s a nice addition to the magazine. Check it out. Also as promised, we continue our indie / small press comics reviews, and I think you’ll find the variety interesting. Plus, the usual cast of characters and rants.

If I am slow on answering my email, my personal life is a zoo, so bear with me. I will get to them. For details of my life being a zoo, check this out. Only engagement in history where it was announced months before it actually happened. All of us here at The Collector Times do enjoy hearing from you, so feel free to send us email.

As usual, we are glad you are here!
