Welcome to the August Edition of The Collector Times!
This month The Collector Times staff travels to Chicago, to cover Wizard World Chicago for the first time!
Look for extensive coverage next month, and a large photo gallery. Look for Sidra Roberts at
Chicago, dressed as the silver aged Batwoman, and be sure to stop her and say hi. We always
like meeting our readers.
This month we have all sorts of interesting things for you. Jamie Coville interviews Azad
from Montreal, who creates the indie comic Sammy, published by Image Comics. It's an entertaining interview, and I'm
sure you will enjoy it. You must read Rick Higginson's column, Confessions of a Newbie, where
Rick provides all sorts of fine suggestions to liven up our lives. Noelle Hay returns with an article examining the
phenomena of video games being made into movies. And speaking of movies, we have reviews of
3 movies this month; Spiderman 2 by Stephane Morell, and I, Robot and
yes, Catwoman, by me. In our collectibles section, Chris Karnes gives us an interesting article
about the history of Wacky Packages. Plus, Brett Schmidt gives us a brief con report
from Comic Con International in San Diego. Jon Morrel, the prodigal son, returns with a review of Evil Dead: The Musical.
And in case you are wondering: I liked Catwoman. A lot. It's not nearly as bad as the critics proclaimed. I'm glad I went,
and if you go, I bet you'll like it, too.
In the meantime, take some time, and look around. We have lots of fine articles and art this month. And as
always, we are glad you here!
