Welcome to the May Edition of The Collector Times!
Our cover comes with month from Jamie Coville's interview subject, up and coming artist Mark Englert.
I'm glad to welcome Jamie back to the interviewing fold. He's a consistently good interviewer and I can count
on him to get me that monthly interview by hook or by crook. We have another interview rolling down the pike
eventually, but thus far we've been waiting a month and a half. Creative types at times are not the most
deadline oriented people. Those that are, we of the Collector Times salute you!
We've got a bit of a movie theme going this month, I guess in preparation of the summer blockbusters.
I reviewed The Superhero Movie because I enjoyed the silly parody a lot. AJ Reardon
reviews a couple of movies: Avoid Jackie Chan's The Myth like the plague but do go
see Forbidden Kingdom, a fun little martial arts flick. Chris Karnes prepares us
for this summer movie onslaught with the hilarious The Top 10 Things Heard While Standing
in Line for the Iron Man Movie. Sidra Roman even reviews the comic Serenity: Better Days,
which sort of ties in with the Serenity movie. I find it very odd how things come together to create a theme
some months. That's why it's fun for me to see what everyone comes up with.
Last but not least, Jamie Coville went to the Hobbystar Toronto ComiCON and provides us with a nice
con report and photo gallery. I'm telling you folks, The Collector Times
staff is going to be out in force at ComicCon International this summer. I cannot wait to see the faces
of some of my writers, who have never had the opportunity to attend the Mother of All Conventions before.
We are going to have a blast, and you will benefit from that for months to come.
Don't forget we have a store now, just in case you would like some Collector Times merchandise!
As always, we are so glad that you are here. Kick off your shoes and take some time to look around! I think you'll be glad you did.
